Well it’s going to be a sad day in the Drive Another Day household when this baby moves on – for six and bit years it’s been great at everything from getting the kids to school, carrying gear for my wife’s craft markets and even helping to move house on more than one occasion. But with a location change coming up next year and a lot of driving to see family, I’m looking to sell this and find something that’s more of a long range cruiser and more economical.
So who’s keen on a Nissan Stagea?
-Series 2 Rb25 Neo with original OP6 Turbo
-Oil changed every 5000k or so with Penrite Hpr-5
-Completely stock aside from the coil packs and wheels. Complete unmodified fresh slate for whatever you want to build (or manual conversion) or just take the family to school in it daily!
-Coil packs replaced with Splitfires which have been problem free
-Power steering rack rebuilt when I first moved to the Gold Coast
-The wheels are 17 inch Stern 3 piece rims with a bit of gutter rash.
-Pioneer in car entertainment with bluetooth, usb dongle and digital radio. 6 inch speakers in each door.
-Comes with all mats, cargo net, cargo blind and dash mat. Also Stagea manual in Japanese!
-New rear tires as of 10/12/20 (fronts were replaced earlier this year)
-Hidden kill switch
-New rear brake pads
-No errors coming up via the paperclip trick!
-McGuard wheel nuts! (God only knows why these were on the stock wheels originally but there’s one on each wheel and the adapter to get them off in the center console!)
-Rust under both mirrors in the front doors. Pretty common with these models. No rust in the strut towers though which is usually where rust also appears on these cars.
-Bonnet strut decides to hold up the bonnet about 30% of the time. Apparently struts from a Nissan Maxima work?
-Slight leak of one of the rocker covers
-Minor transmission leak. An O-Ring needs to be replaced on the speed sensor just above the auto transmission. It’s pushing fluid up the wire and exiting out of a plug on the drivers side of the block. More annoying that anything.
-Front bar cracked from parking accident and a few scratches. A few scratches around the car after 20 years of driving. Have tried to source another front bar recently but nothing available locally at the moment.
$10,000 ono and will be sold as is unregistered. (Normally I’d be happy to sell it without a RWC but with rego but have been burnt on occasion where buyers have continued to drive it in my name and never transferring it over which was a surprise when the next set of rego fees rocked up to my place..)
It really wouldn’t take much at all for a RWC and you’re more than welcome to inspect it yourself.
