All of that air – 85 Pontiac Fiero

There are air intakes and then there are air intakes. And in the case of this 1985 Pontiac Fiero, that air intake grill is probably more suited for stopping condors from getting sucked in let alone sparrows..

Yes the grand adventures of ‘What can I do with a Pontiac Fiero continue this week here at Drive Another Day. Previously we brought you the Prancing Horse Pontiac, then there was the Pontiac Fiero that joined forces with a Honda Motorcyle to marvel at and of course there was the story from way back when about the Concept 2000 GT and the three still left in the US.

This time around it’s a tidy example from 1985 complete with unique Hot Wheelsesque air intake that if you squint, kind of looks like some sort of James Bond rocket launcher. Imaging seeing this creep on you while cruising on the highway?

Dive, dive, dive!

Which by itself makes this car really stick out from just about everything (you probably wouldn’t confuse this with someone else’s Pontiac Fiero in the dim light) but let’s add to the fact that inside things are looking sensationally clean. Credit to the current owner, this thing looks mint inside!

It’s like it’s never been sat in!

From the Facebook Classifieds ad itself:

1985 Fiero 2M6 (hey suckerberg you don’t have Fiero as a model dumbass). Only 2 owners, runs in original engine and 4 spd, car is clean and prepped for 3800 swap with all new interior. Blue tooth, crazy sound system, big brake upgrade, with new stainless lines, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, etc. halogen lights, tons of custom parts including a one a kind rear intake. If your interested you can also purchase practically everything you need to do the swap using the best parts available for another 2000. That is a third of what I have into them

I do love me a custom Pontiac Fiero, where do I find it?

Well firstly credit where credit is due, I stumbled across this courtesy of the deep digging team of ‘I know what I have‘ over at Facebook. I know they usually like to highlight those asking way too much for cars not worth the asking price but every so often they drop something like this into my lap.

They found this one over in the historic seaport Portsmouth New Hampshire, home of Bottomline Technologies and the NH famous Sweet Scoops frozen yogurt. Maybe if you’re heading there to check out this beast, you might want to treat yourself to a nice tub of:

(Seriously, how good does this sound?) Anyway, I digress. At the time of writing the ad has been up for a week and it’s priced to sell at $4000 US. Enjoy that cool air the engines getting if you’re the next owner!
