About Me

Me trying to fix this blog

Almigo is a Australian breakfast radio announcer, very amateur home mechanic, dad, author and an every day regular car fan who’s owned a series of interesting choice cars along the way:

1989 Ford Laser GL (Nicknamed ‘The Beast’)
1989 Mazda Rx7 Series V (‘Brap’)
1991 Toyota Soarer GTTL (‘Lex’)
1994 Subaru WRX (‘Ogg’)
2000 Nissan Stagea RS (‘Stag’)
2005 Subaru Impreza (‘Bax’ aka ‘The terrible idea’)
Currently 2012 Mazda 6 touring sedan (‘The Silver Samurai’)

He started this blog way back in 2012 when he decided that he wanted to write more about cars than other things at the time in his spare time and off he went. Since then he’s ended up in a monster truck, driven a Ferrari that was worth more than twice his house and spent plenty of time on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck to help get him home – that’s cars for you really.

If you want to drop him a line, have your own amusing car story or have a possible update on one of the cars we’ve written so far, feel free to shoot us an email at alshieldwrites@gmail.com
